What is OPagel Stash?
OPagel Stash is my personal website to help keep up with the things I'm doing, like game development, music arrangement, and general thoughts.
Who are you?
I am OPagel. I'm a game developer and arranger who makes my games in GameMaker and sometimes Turbowarp.
What projects do you have?
I used to make Scratch projects before moving to GameMaker in 2022. After that, I began working on Archa, which is planned to release in 2026. I have also made a few smaller projects like Rock Clusters GX and Chiroptera.
Post-Scratch Games:
Archa is a 2d platformer about combat and exploration. You must defeat enemies and collect items to complete each act.
Initial prototypes for this game started in October 2022, but the first level wasn't made until mid-2023.
The game has a free Early Access, but has since been discontinued to focus on the full game.
Rock Clusters GX is an endless high-score based game where the objective is to reach the top of the randomly-generated Rock Clusters.
You must avoid the green rocks, and attack the yellow ones if they get in your way. Your blaster can also be used to shrink any Rocks that its projectile touches.
It's a free open-source browser game I made back in February 1st, 2024. It's technically a sequel to the Rock Clusters game I made in Scratch back in 2021.
Chiroptera is a platformer-roguelite I made in about 10 days. It is currently in a no-promises stage, where everything in it is subject to
change.
Scratch Games
This list only contains a few Scratch games I worked on during my time there.
Archa had games even before Archa.
The game that started my venture into Scratch and the Archa series. Archa Classic was an arcade-style high-score-based platformer
about getting as many collectables as possible while dodging enemies. It's very different from the Archa of today.
This game recieved updates from 2021 to 2022, and returned from a 2-year long haitus in 2024. Archa Classic is no longer
recieving updates at the moment.
I made this game while waiting for class one day.
It's a very simple and small game about throwing rubber balls while dodging enemy students.
I sort of wanted to refresh the Archa universe after Archa Classic, and this was the first game to do so. It established many elements that would be used in the series later on. It was also the first to have any semblance of a story.
As for actual gameplay, it's basically just a regular platformer, but with cookies, and the enemies disappear for a second before
reappearing. I promise it's not as bad as it sounds.
Can this even be considered a game? It's a brewing simulator more than anything.
The original before GX.
In this game, you control Jettis, a girl that travels through endless randomly generated rock clusters to get to her home. However, she must avoid the lime and lemon-flavored enemy clusters on her way!
It was reshared and updated multiple times since its original release in 2021.
heeg is this weird inside joke I have where I would say heeg instead of hi.
During my time in Scratch, I would sometimes make small projects before releasing a big one. This was one of those small projects.
It's Archa One, but 2. Not a sequel to Archa.
This game started development all the way back in February 2022. It was planned to release in October of that year, but was put on hold for a while due to Scratch issues. It was finally released in 2024.
Announced during Archa Classic's 5th Anniversary, Archa Classic 2 is moreso a continuation of the original Archa Classic.
It's being made due to the first game having too many assets, making it hard to update.
This one will have a bigger emphasis on quality over quantity, having less content, but said content being more unique.
